ICF San Antonio Peer Coaching
ICF San Antonio Chapter members now have the opportunity to earn paid coaching hours while sharpening their coaching skills by participating in peer coaching!
What is peer coaching?
How does peer coaching help me earn paid coaching hours?
Who should participate?
Members who are pursuing ICF Global accreditation are strongly encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity.
Members who want to gain more experience and expand their coaching toolkit.
According to the 2019 ICF Global Coaching Study, a growing number of clients - about 85% - expect their coach to be credentialed (details on credential requirements can be found on the ICF global website).
What are the benefits?
By participating in peer coaching, ICF San Antonio members will:
Make coaching more financially accessible to other coaches
Practice and advance their coaching skills
Learn from each other
Get constructive feedback
Connect with other colleagues
Make new friends
Earn paid coaching hours
Note: According to the 2016 ICF Global Coaching Study, coaches who hold a credential from a professional coaching association report higher annual revenue from coaching than their peers without a credential.
How does it work?
In ICF San Antonio peer coaching, each participating member agrees to:
Contact your assigned peer coach within a week from receiving the email introductions
Understand that ICF SA staff will assign you to the best possible match
Mutually agree on a schedule that works for both
Receive the exact number of coaching sessions agreed upon with genuine willingness and need
Provide the agreed upon number of sessions to your assigned peer coach as if they were a fee-paying client
Agree to coach in a manner that reflects the ICF Core Competencies and Code of Ethics
Notify your peer coach as soon as possible should you need to cancel or re-schedule a session
Complete 100% of round sessions
Maintain ongoing momentum
Provide reciprocal constructive feedback by the end of the round
Remain open, flexible, and present at all times to appreciate the reciprocal benefit of the partnership
If you genuinely feel that your assigned coach is not a good match for you, notify the ICF San Antonio programming immediately so you can be assigned a different partner
How can I sign up?
If you already indicated in your profile that you want to participate in peer coaching, no further action is needed.
