Ethics and Confidentiality

ICF Host Chapter: Austin, TX

Description: Scott Howard (MCC) leads this interactive conversation on ethics and confidentiality. He is the Vice-Chair of Operations on the ICF Independent Review Board where he adjudicates ethics violations in the coaching profession, and he recently served on the ICF Code of Ethics review team steering committee. Scott has coached and facilitated groups on a variety of topics including leadership enhancement, communications, engagement, and diversity inclusion, with a style that's client centered and strengths based.

As a former Commander in the U.S. Coast Guard with 25+ years of experience leading teams, he’s served on seven ships and five legal units in leadership positions.  Additionally, he’s helped organize and execute many nationally significant operations including homeland security initiatives following the 9/11 terrorist attacks and support and recovery operations for the TWA Flight 800 and Egypt Air Flight 990 air disasters. His final military assignment was the Chief of Recruiting where he led a force of over 300 recruiters in meeting the Coast Guard’s human resource needs.

About the Series: The ICF Southeast Regional Webinar Series is a collaboration between the 15 chapters in the Southeast Region and occurs 9 times out of the year, starting in 2020. The purpose of this professional development series is to offer continued learning opportunities by established industry experts, which may not otherwise be available to a smaller audience. Interact online with other coaches in the ICF Southeast Region and globally and engage in high quality professional development while earning CCEUs. We’re excited to have you join us in these webinars!
